Read this.In the short, there is a debate over wether Pluto is a planet or not, personally, I think it is, and it wouldn't case so much fuss. If we changed it to a Kupier belt object, then we'd have to change all those Textbooks & websites containing information on this Planet/Kupier belt object. Also, Pluto has an atmosphere, okay it freezes in Plutos winter, but its still an atmosphere, surely this is enough to make it a planet? In addition, Pluto is round, and isn't shaped like an Asteroid. On the other side fo the Arguement, Pluto could be a giant Kupier belt object. After all, Pluto isn't the only object in this belt with moons, many of the comets & Asteroids in the Kupier belt have smaller bodies orbiting them. So, Pluto, planet or not?

I don't know a lot about Kupier belts so I shouldn't say anything.

Theres only ONE Kupier Belt. Its basically like the Asteroid Belt, except it contains Comets, and is way further awya from the Sun.

Oh...Well, nobody has been to Pluto...So I think that it will remain a mystery. Now, I don't know if ANYTHING has been to pluto, like a mission bot or something of the kind.

NASA recently sent a Mission Bot to Pluto, but we'll have to wait 9 years for it to get there. I think its hard not to be intrested with whats beyond our atmosphere, theres so many weird and differnt things out there, your imagination could almost become alive!

About the Kuiper belt..Is Pluto small enough to consider it of being a part of a Kuiper Belt? Is it as small as the small bodies that orbit the sun beyond neptune that take part of the Kuiper Belt? It doesn't seem like it..Plus, The atmosphere fact is very interesting..Pluto must be a planet.

You never know, they could even be a dominant species on one planet. x3 Um. About the Kuiper belt..Is Pluto small enough to consider it of being a part of a Kuiper Belt? Is it as small as the small bodies that orbit the sun beyond neptune that take part of the Kuiper Belt? It is described as a 'Giant Kupier Belt Object', meaning that it is larger than most others. I do indeed find Plutos atmosphere interesting, it freezes during Plutos winter, which is probobly a few hundred years.
